Maukka Perusjätkä + Säätövara

Legendary Maukka Perusjätkä celebrates the 45th anniversary of his hit "Vaatteet on mun aatteet" with a tour across Finland. Last November, Helsinki saw a sold-out club show - now the celebrations continue at Poppari.

A rare anniversary concert awaits with a special programme featuring songs from Maukka's first two albums: Säpinää (1979) and Ennen kolmatta maailmansotaa (1980). Maukka himself notes that the albums' message remains surprisingly relevant even after over 40 years. The original albums featured performances by Andy McCoy, Kaija Koo, Jimi Sumén, Puka Oinonen and Woude, among others.

Opening the evening is Jyväskylä-based band Säätövara, celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. The band is currently working on their third studio album and is known for their spontaneous live performances.
