Topi Saha

Topi Saha presents his new album Öitä (Nights). The album was produced by Julius Mauranen (including work with Oranssi Pazuzu and Viitasen Piia) and released in January 2025.

Topi Saha describes the album's creation: "Öitä is a record that had to be made at least twice. At the start of the recording process, I imposed certain restrictions on myself when writing - certain minor keys and individual words like 'dark' and 'dusk' were off limits, so I wouldn't get stuck repeating myself. I ended up writing a whole album of fairly pleasant and bright American-influenced music, until darkness started seeping in through the doors and windows. I threw the finished songs in the trash and decided to empty the bank by making a record where every single song is about one thing and one thing only: the night. About private and shared darkness. About cliffs and rogues. About falling and rising. And of course about love and longing."

Topi Saha has four solo albums to his name. "It feels as though Topi Saha has always existed," says Aapo Siippainen, Savon Sanomat.
