Library Night Adventures: Family Saturday

Länsimäki Library is open from 10:00 to 16:00 on Family Saturday, with several free events for the whole family.

Teater Vantaa: Mr. Hakkarainen's Night
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM. Recommended age 2-8 years. Free, no advance registration required.

Sleepwalking Mr. Hakkarainen guides young audiences to peek at what happens in the city at night while others sleep - into the world of garbage collectors, doctors, poets, and heartbreak. The play is based on books by Mauri Kunnas.

Task Trail (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
A task trail related to bedtime and sleep. Children who can read can progress on their own, younger children with an adult. Each participant receives a small prize.

The End of Stuffed Animals' Night (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Stuffed animals that spent the night at the library can be taken home. In the stuffed animal cave there is a reading corner and pictures from the stuffed animals' night adventures, and withdrawn picture books are distributed.

Unveiling the New Mascot's Name
In a vote held in spring, the library's new stuffed animal mascot was chosen and a name was suggested for it. At the end of Family Saturday, the mascot is introduced with its name.
