Through the Shadow is an exhibition about feelings and experiences that often remain invisible or are difficult to speak about. Agni Kuokkanen explores in her works shame, guilt, fear, and vulnerability, as well as the traces they leave in the body, memory, and the way one sees oneself.

The exhibition consists of large-scale charcoal drawings, ceramic works, and sculptural jewelry. The dark surfaces of charcoal, organic forms, and layered structures create a visual whole in which inner experiences take on visible form. In the works, shadow does not merely signify darkness or negativity, but also a place where people hide their vulnerability and memories - and which can simultaneously be a space for change and acceptance.

Agni Kuokkanen is an artist from Poland working in Finland and a visual arts student at LAB University of Applied Sciences in Lappeenranta. Her practice combines drawing, painting, ceramics, jewelry art, and installation, and her works have been shown in Finland, Poland, Italy, Spain, and Chile.
