InssiCooper 2026
Rovaniemen Insinööriopiskelijat RovIO ry, Rovaniemi
InssiCooper (IC) is a traditional student event held since 2010 that brings together students and engineers from across Finland. The hiking portion is alcohol-free.
The route runs through Pyhä-Luosto National Park and covers approximately 35 kilometres over 1.5 days. Along the way, teams participate in a lighthearted relay race with 12 checkpoints - this is the origin of the event's Cooper name. The hike culminates in a group photo at the summit of Ukko-Luosto, after which participants return to Rovaniemi.
In Rovaniemi, accommodation in cabins and dinner prepared by the organizing team await. The evening programme also includes a sauna. At the closing ceremony, participants who completed the hike successfully and the winning relay team are recognized.
The ticket includes bus transport Rovaniemi - Pyhä-Luosto - Rovaniemi, participation in the hike and relay race, accommodation in Rovaniemi (Sat-Sun), a badge and a certificate from the hike. The event attracts just under 100 participants annually.
