Cultural Event Taidesaari - SUMMER 2026 — Jyväskylä

Taidesaari - Summer 2026 is a cultural event in Vaajakoski, Jyväskylä, spread across several factory buildings and yard areas at Tikkutehtaantie 1-4 (Harjatehdas, Tulitikkutehdas, Kalustetehdas). Saturday the event is open 10:00-18:00, Sunday 10:00-16:00.

The event features art, music, flea market, and food. The programme includes art exhibitions Pallas Athene! and From Savanna to the Polar Circle (Mikko Varvemaa, Panu Koskimies, Tiina Kirahvimetsä), photo art exhibition Hidden mother (Emmi Minkkinen), and cyanotype workshop, pop-up photography (Maarimanna), portrait painting (Jouko Behm), installations (Minja Revonkorpi, Mira Heinonen, Antti Tuonpuoleinen, Christer Boman, Tiina Kirahvimetsä), sun mirror workshop (Eeva Fly), ceramics (Savitaivas POP-UP), Japa ry's SWAP exchange market, and Walk-In Tattoo. In the yard area, Country & Western Trio 3 Stars Blend and Pässipilli (acoustic folk punk DIY trio) perform, and Taidesaari ry's Paku-Åke offers van karaoke.

Saturday only: Maalaamon halli (K18, b.y.o.b.) is open 12:00-19:00 - entry requires a ticket. Ticket sales start at 16:00 at the door. The ticket includes one Hiisitasting portion per guest. Programme: DJ Puntti, 16:00 Rütmi-Sepot, 17:00 Riemu and Ratto, and 18:00-19:00 closing disco. From 19:00 official afterparty: Vaajakosken Kohinat, on the Naissaaren side. Sunday only: Myyttinen metsä, a dance performance piece.

Food is served by PalkoPalko (street food), ArtGelatto, RY Kahvila, and RY pancake stand Savitaivas. There is a bonfire spot for your own food on the peninsula. You can reach the venue by Kohinabussi: departing from Vaajakoski centre Saturday at 10:00 and 11:00, returning at 13:00 and 14:00. Parking is also available in front of Kalustetehdas.
