Tanssin Aika 2026: Hildá Länsman & Tuomas Norvio
The festival's Saturday evening features two performances on a single ticket. First comes dancer Gáddjá Haarla Piesk's solo work Yön Lintu, followed by the duo Hildá Länsman & Tuomas Norvio. Both events are included in the same ticket.
Hildá Länsman is a singer, joiker, and musician from Ohcejohka, the northernmost part of Sápmi in Finland. She grew up in a family of reindeer herders and joikers, and her artistic work focuses on making Sámi culture visible. Tuomas Norvio is a Finnish sound designer, composer, and producer whose electronic soundscapes the duo portrays as filled with urban rush and the melancholy of big cities. Together they create a meeting place between Helsinki and the northern fells, where the ancient joik tradition encounters modern electronics.
The duo's debut album Dajan was released in 2025 and won the Emma-gala award for Album of the Year - Ethno in 2026. The duo themselves describe the album as an ongoing dialogue between tradition and technology, human and machine, earth and electricity.
