Elin Danielson-Gambogi

The exhibition examines Elin Danielson-Gambogi's (1861-1919) artistic output and her position at the intersection of two cultures - as a woman, artist, and individual in an era that did not yet acknowledge these roles.

Self-portraits, intimate everyday moments, and conflicting gazes form a whole in which identity is constructed through art. The exhibition is on view at the Didrichsen Art Museum from 12.9.2026 to 31.1.2027, Tue-Sun 11.00-18.00.
