History and Heritage Weekend at Petäjävesi Old Church

The area around Petäjävesi Old Church and Lementtilä farm steps back to the 1700s on 22-23 August 2026. The weekend programme features historical markets - opened with a cannon shot - a living history camp, small exhibitions, and activities for children. On Saturday at 12.30, a battle scene themed around the Great Northern War will be performed, and the day concludes with a display of traditional national costumes and communal folk dancing.

On Sunday, the programme is complemented by an 18th-century church service at Petäjävesi Old Church at 10.00.
