Matti Rönkä - Author Talk

Matti Rönkä is known as a long-time news correspondent for Yle and an accomplished author. This autumn, the ninth book in the Viktor Kärppä series will be published: "The Man Who Fell from the Window", which explores the tensions that the war in Ukraine has created at home and across the eastern border. Viktor Kärppä is a former soldier with special training from the Soviet Army, navigating between Finnish everyday life and his past.

Rönkä has been awarded for his works, including the Glass Key Prize in 2007 and the Kalle Päätalo Prize in 2009. His books have also been adapted into a TV series (2011) and a film (2016), "A Man Who Looks Like a Murderer".

Rönkä will be interviewed by author and journalist Esa Mäkijärvi. Free admission.
