Art Nouveau Architecture Walk in Katajanokka — Helsingin kaupunginmuseo, Helsinki

This guided walk showcases Finland's largest unified Art Nouveau residential area and its internationally recognized buildings. The tour explains how a working-class neighbourhood transformed within a few years into Finland's first entirely stone-built city district - and what role the awakening of national consciousness, political ideas, and a new generation of architects played in this transformation.

The walk starts at the entrance of the Helsinki City Museum (Aleksanterinkatu 16) and ends on Luotsikady. Register at the museum's information desk before the walk begins. Duration is approximately 1.5 hours.

The ticket costs 13 €. These walks often fill up quickly, so advance booking is recommended.
