Children's Saturday: The Invisible Backpack

Children's Saturday focuses on illustrator and author Maria Vilja's series "The Invisible Backpack", which explores the life of a sensitive child. The children's area features reading sessions, book-related activities, and a book exhibition.

From 2-3.30 pm, Maria Vilja leads a workshop where everyone can create their own backpack buddy. The main character Rosalia in the book series has a soft toy named Piggy, who as a power figure expresses Rosalia's emotions - in the workshop, each child makes a similar figure for themselves as a friend and power figure. The workshop also explores what the most important reminder for each child's own backpack buddy might be.

The workshop is led by illustrator and author Maria Vilja and children's and youth emotional intelligence instructor Reetta Huhta. Admission is free.
