Asa, also known by the names Avain, Asamasa, Aatsipoppa, and Mats Nyckelström, is a Finnish wordsmith whose career spans over 25 years. He has released albums actively and earned recognition from both listeners and critics. Asa has been called a pioneer of Finnish rap - in his texts, sharp humor and folk poetry intertwine with social themes. This independent rapper tours regularly at small venues and cottages throughout the country.

The evening opens with Duo Vastaanotin performing Kanavatyö. Writers Eeva Turunen and Marjo Niemi present East Helsinki's most cherished text passages, nature evening, and requested music - as if a restless spirit had made its home in a rarely opened cupboard.
