Musical Instruments of the World: Fernando Salazar Boza
Keskustakirjasto Oodi, Helsinki
ilmainen
The Musical Instruments of the World event series showcases musicians and instruments from around the globe. The series is produced and curated by Melisa Yıldırım.
Fernando Salazar Boza is a Helsinki-based Peruvian guitarist, composer, and arranger whose music blends Latin American traditions with contemporary influences - Afro-Peruvian rhythms, improvisation, and chamber music aesthetics. He has performed internationally, including at Lincoln Center in New York and Kennedy Center in Washington.
In a one-hour acoustic solo performance, Salazar Boza presents his own compositions. The programme moves between rhythm-driven pieces, atmospheric soundscapes, and improvisation.
The event is supported by Taike and the Sibelius Academy's Global Music Department.
