Kimmo Pohjonen: Hallowed Lungs - Pyhät keuhkot

Hallowed Lungs - Pyhät keuhkot is a composition for accordion, organ and electronics in which bodily breath, electrical current and massive air architecture engage in dialogue. The history of the instruments - the sacredness of the organ and the mundane nature of the accordion - creates not a contradiction but a tension that generates a new space. The work sanctifies what was previously meant to be excluded, and brings with it a longing for breathing clean air and a dream of peace. Hallowed Lungs continues the collaboration between the three musicians, which began in 2017 with the world premiere of the work Ultra Organ.

Performers: Kimmo Pohjonen (electroacoustic accordion, vocals), Mikko Helenius (organ, vocals) and Tuomas Norvio (sound design and live electronics).

The ticket price includes a 3 € service fee. An assistant receives free entry with the person being assisted on the same ticket. The event is wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible toilet.
