Kalevala's Call

Kalevala's Call at the Night of the Arts is an interactive concert on Thursday 20.8.2026 from 17.30 to 19.00 in the Maijansali hall at the Central Library Oodi (Töölönlahdenkatu 4, Helsinki). The concert features rune singers Ilona Korhonen and Maari Kallberg, and the audience can join in rune singing and discuss cultural heritage.

The event is part of Helsinki's Night of the Arts 2026 programme. Organisers include the Kalevala Women's Association, the Kalevala Society Foundation, and the Central Library Oodi.

Kalevala's Call singing workshops and interactive concerts are coordinated by the Kalevala Women's Association. The activity has been supported by the Alfred Kordelinin Foundation and is part of collaboration linked to Kalevala's European cultural heritage label.
