Culture Stage: On the Wings of the Dragonfly

What happens when it rains on the forest's mossy clearing? Have you danced wildly with beetles, in the bear-skull hall? A sunbeam or a forest spirit - are you ready for transformation?

Jyväskylä poet AP Kivinen presents a selection of his poems from "On the Wings of the Dragonfly" for listeners of all ages. "On the Wings of the Dragonfly" (2024), celebrating nature's biodiversity, has toured schools, libraries, and poetry clubs. Kivinen is a Poetry Slam champion (2015) and author of five poetry collections - the latest, "Sun Dance", was published in 2025. He has also translated the Ghanaian animal fable "Anansi Makes the Northern Lights" (2021).

The Culture Stage takes place on the 1st floor of Jyväskylä City Library every Monday at 6 p.m. Free admission.
