Welcome to an Evening of Christmas Traditions and Christmas Songs!

Finnish Christmas celebration and song traditions trace their roots to 1863, when Jyväskylä Seminary began its operations. The traditions created by seminary students continue to live on in Finnish festive culture and school Christmas celebrations.

During the evening, participants will explore these traditions under the guidance of lecturer, emerita Erja Kosonen, and sing together - both familiar Christmas songs from school days and newer melodies.
