Suosymposium asks what art can do for landscapes left behind by peat production. The event is open to all and takes place on Friday, August 7 from 12:30 to 17:30 at Haihatus Art Institute in Joutsa.

Throughout the day, participants will hear from experts, engage with artistic content, and explore experiences and working methods developed through Humak's development project. The programme also includes a tour of the Haihatus area and its residency activities. The symposium is part of a Humanistic University of Applied Sciences initiative where practitioners in art, cultural production, and environmental sectors seek shared perspectives on environmental change.

Discussions will be held in Finnish and English. More information about the project is available on Humak's website.
