Viapori Jazz: Helmi Antila Quartet

Helmi Antila Quartet performs in Helsinki on Suomenlinna at Tenalji von Fersen on Wednesday, 26 August at 19:00. The historic casemate building on Kustaanmiekka island provides a distinctive setting for jazz concerts - spacious vaulted corridors and stone structures create unique acoustics and atmosphere. Antila takes the stage with her quartet to perform original Finnish-language compositions, singing and playing piano herself. Panu Savolainen on vibraphone, Tuomo Purhonen on bass, and Mooses Kuloniemi on drums complete the ensemble. This is one of two Finnish concert dates on Antila's tour, with the second taking place in September in Jyväskylä. Tickets are priced at 38.50 euros.
