In February 2021, the magazine Me Naiset published an interview with Iiris Elena Rusi in the series Toisintekijä. The interview focused on Rusi as a visual artist who practices sex work. Since then, it has circulated on social media and gathered extensive commentary regarding Rusi's appearance, desirability as a service provider, and her moral views.
Rusi's previous exhibition Killer Queen examined the sale of sex from the artist's own perspective. The Finnish Museum of Photography's new exhibition continues this inquiry by involving other workers who provide erotic services in the discussion and reflecting the themes of the earlier exhibition as well as the public's attitudes toward the subject.
