Kerubi Underground: Myy Anderson, Vihreä maa, VARIS

Kerubi Underground club takes place at Kerubin Sal in Joensuu on Friday 11.9. Three local bands perform: Myy Anderson, VARIS and Vihreä maa.

Entry is voluntary, but advance tickets are available for 10 € from Monday 10.8 at 9:00. Support tickets are sold at the door for 5 €, 10 € and 15 € - ticket proceeds go to the bands. Cloakroom fee at the door is 3 €.

Myy Anderson is a Joensuu-based indie-pop-rock band whose music combines ethereal guitars, catchy melodies, Finnish lyrics and a punk spirit. The band has described their style as "Paramore and Stella's lost child, who listened to the Beatles in the womb". VARIS started as Mika Variksen's solo project and grew into a four-piece band last year - the music draws from multiple styles and fills the space as a melodic landscape. Vihreä maa was founded in 2006 and reactivated this spring after a break of over ten years. The band plays guitar pop-rock inspired by power pop and classic 1960s rock. This year the band has released several new songs.
