Satamatta jääneet - Hengitys & Nimetön

A two-part audio artwork located at two sites in Helsinki: Hengitys at Capellanaukio in Kalasatama (Capellanaukio 1) and Nimetön at the western tip of Mustikkamaas, on a rocky outcrop along the waterfront path. Both works combine sound art, site-specific art, and performance art.

The listener moves through the landscape wearing their own headphones - the audio track is designed in stereo for earphones and also requires a smart device. The works explore the relationship between humans and nature, the boundaries of the self, and the fluidity of individuality through poetic and essayistic narration. Both can be experienced freely at any chosen time, with a duration of approximately 30 minutes per work.

Nimetön is presented and performed collectively in the presence of the artist on 29.8. and 26.9.2026 at 16:00 (weather permitting). The work's artistic designer and creator is Helsinki-based performance artist and sound designer Ville Sarimaa.
