The Syrjäseutu-Vilimit film festival takes place in Kuopio 24-27.9.2026. On Sunday 27.9. at 16:00, a rare mondo-documentary about Finland will be screened as the closing film: KUVI Goes Vilimit: THIS IS FINLAND - A LAND WITHOUT SIN (DOVE NON È PECCATO, Italy 1970, directed by Antonio Colantuoni).

The film has been digitized by KAVI from a 35 mm print held at Cineteca Nazionale (Rome). It examines Finnish life through a sensationalist Italian lens - student spring celebrations, folk dancing, sports enthusiasm, school sex education, and sauna culture. DCP. Finnish subtitles. K7. 87 min. 8 €.
