The SYRJÄSEUTU-VILIMIT film festival takes place in Kuopio 24.-27.9.2026. On Saturday 26.9. from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Kino Kuvakukko, the UNHOLY SIBLINGS DOUBLE BILL is screened - a themed evening with two films. The films are introduced by author, translator, and editor-in-chief of the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society Lauri Lattu, who is also a monster researcher and guardian of the free east from Joensuu.

FIRST FILM OF THE EVENING (starts at 1:00 PM, with film introduction):
TWINS OF EVIL (1971). Horror. Great Britain 1971. Director John Hough. DCP. English language. K18. 84 min.
In this film starring Peter Cushing, Hammer studio's vampire gothic and folk horror aesthetics merge. Vampires, black masses, and the Karnstein family castle - the final installment of the notorious Karnstein trilogy.

SECOND FILM OF THE EVENING (starts around 5:00 PM):
VIKINGS' REVENGE / ERIK THE CONQUEROR / GLI INVASORI (1961). Adventure / Viking film. Italy/France 1961. Director Mario Bava. KUVI 35mm. English language, Finnish subtitles. K16. 91 min.
Mario Bava's directed Viking adventure where the steel of pagan north meets the crosses and knights of Britain. At Kino Kuvakukko, the film's original domestic 35 mm print is screened.

The combined ticket can be purchased from the Kide online shop - note that purchase requires meeting the K18 age limit. Single film tickets are sold at the door for cash.
