Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha orchestra returns to Dubrovnik - to the same stage where the band once launched its career at the Balkan Fever clubs. Last year's album Äyskäri earned widespread acclaim: Lapin Kansa, Helsingin Sanomat and YLE ranked it among the year's best, and in March it was crowned with the Etno-Emma award. Sami Yaffan has called the band Finland's best band.

The music carries influences from the Balkans, old Finnish iskelmä, Turkey, Greece and the Middle East. The lyrics have evolved from the lovesickness of the early albums to reflections that push the boundaries of reality - with a Lapland glint in the eye. The orchestra, already working on a new album, promises to play both beloved old classics and new material.

The band performs around 70 times a year throughout Finland and in over 20 countries across Europe.
