Theatre Opening Night 9.9. at 18:00

Jyväskylä City Theatre celebrates the completion of the Theatre House renovation with an opening night on 9.9. at 18:00. The main stage will feature an approximately one-hour programme showcasing the upcoming theatre season and highlights from the history of stage art - while the audience gets to experience the theatre's new stage, lighting, and sound technology. The foyer will display an exhibition about the Theatre House's history and surprises for the public.

After the programme, dancing begins in the foyer. The music is provided by a dance orchestra assembled by conductor Lasse Hirvi, with soloists from the theatre's own actors. According to conductor Hirvi, the musical range is broad - "from punk to waltz". The theatre restaurant serves throughout the evening, with last call at 22:00.
