Reading Dog Daisy

Want to practice reading aloud? At Mosaiikin Library you can read to Daisy, a reading dog - a rottweiler who has completed the Finnish Kennel Club's reading dog training programme. The dog listens patiently and does not judge the reader, and an instructor is present but does not interfere with the reading itself.

All readers over 7 years old can book a time slot. You can reserve a place at Mosaiikin Library's customer service desk or by phone on 050 302 8367. If you need to cancel, let the library know.

Each session lasts 15 minutes and the reader participates alone. Arrive on time and bring your own book or choose one from the library. Remember that the reading dog is a reading companion, not a playmate - during the session we focus on reading. You can pet Daisy, but ask the instructor first.
