Häiriköt Headquarters & Animal Rights Academy: Reality as It Does Not Appear to Us

Animals are in front of you, behind you, above you and inside you. You may not see them, but they see you.

In the exhibition by Häiriköt Headquarters and the Animal Rights Academy, the gaze is turned toward what is usually not wanted to be seen - toward the species that are bred and slaughtered annually in numbers many times greater than humans, yet rarely capture our attention.

In the exhibition, works by Jari Tamminen, Laura Gustafsson, Ville Salervo and Hanna Kuko examine the subject through counter-advertising, the production apparatus of the animal industry, and comic art.
