Fuksipong 2026

This event is intended exclusively for first-year students in the teacher education programme at the University of Jyväskylä.

Fuksipong takes place on Monday 24.8 at Freetime (Kauppakatu 30) from 6 pm - doors open at 5:30 pm. The evening consists of casual table tennis games in groups drawn on the spot and relaxed socialising with new classmates, tutors and the student council. The winning team receives a prize. During the games you can enjoy Freetime's selection at your own expense - cups and their contents used in the games are for playing only.

The event is free and participation does not require membership in Pedagog. You can come to play, cheer or just hang out. The programme ends by 9 pm at the latest, but you can stay on afterwards. Registration opens on 17.8 at 12:00 and closes on 24.8 at 3 pm - when registering you can indicate whether you will play or come to cheer.

Accessibility: The venue is largely flat but has minor level changes, such as a couple of steps. There are plenty of seating areas, although not everyone has their own chair. Toilets are available throughout the event.
