At Ala-Malmi Square, you can try graffiti painting either with guidance or independently. The event is organized based on requests from local residents, and the workshop is led by visual artist Santtu Tuomola. Tuomola is a member of the South Karelian Artists' Association and the art collective Äärellinen joukko, as well as a trainee member of the Painters' Union. His work explores the life of someone with substance addiction: he depicts events, experiences, and emotional states caused by addiction and gives voice to people whose perspectives are often unheard.

Music is provided by drummers Aleksi Kinnunen and Niklas Ahlsved from the band Trash Drumming, and actor-musician Timo Mäkynen from Q Theatre. Trash Drumming creates music from waste and recycled materials, and throughout the event, the square will feature improvised jamming that combines percussion made from scrap materials with guitar.

No advance registration is needed, and all materials for graffiti painting are available on site. The event takes place in connection with the Via Dia café. Free entry.
