European Blues Challenge: Finland Selection

European Blues Challenge (EBC) is an annual competition organized by the European Blues Union (EBU), the umbrella organization for European blues practitioners. Over 20 countries participate, and Finland has been involved since 2011. This concert features the selection of Finland's representative for the EBC 2027 competition.

Four bands compete on the Malmitalo stage - candidates have been pre-selected by EBU's active Finnish members. The competition starts at 18:00, with each band performing for 20 minutes. An independent panel of experts selects the final representative. The event lasts approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission.

The event is organized in collaboration with Finnish Blues Society (FBS), and this is the first time Finland's EBC representative selection is held at Malmitalo. The actual EBC 2027 takes place in Vila do Conde, Portugal, on 8-10 April 2027.
