Mataran Markkinat

Mataran's courtyard and first-floor spaces host food stalls, sales stands, and associations and community groups showcasing their activities from 17-22. Mataran café, Pimé Café, and the KATOLLA project's "Diamond Works" exhibition in KäytäväGallery remain open all evening.

Children and families can enjoy multiple activities: Tuitun and Tirrin's task trail (departures at 17.00, 17.30 and 18.00), a reflector trail in the courtyard, My Light lantern workshop using recycled materials (17-20), and Maran and Taran's craft station (17-20). Cholesterol testing is available 17-19 for 2 €, and henna tattoos from 17-21 starting at 5 €.

Music runs throughout the evening: ukulele concerts at 18 and 19 (approximately 30 minutes each), Viljami Ortjun's acoustic set 18-18.45 and Livewire's acoustic rock 19.30-20.15. Between 18.45-19.30 an Argentine tango session led by Jyväskylä-based tango teacher Fernandó Waisberg - the event suits all ages and requires no prior experience. Bubi-visa starts at 17.15, bingo at 20.30, and the evening concludes with the lighting competition winner's prize ceremony and raffles at 21.30.

Pimé Café operates in a completely dark space where the Pimé Café team of Keski-Suomen Näkövammaiset (Central Finland Association for the Visually Impaired) serves coffee, tea, juice and light refreshments on a voluntary donation basis - visually impaired staff work as guides and servers. Cultural guides are present 18-20 with memory boxes. Programme changes are possible.
