Pedagon fuksisitsit 2026

This event is intended only for first-year students in the primary teacher education programme at the University of Jyväskylä, their tutors, and members of Pedagon's board.

Pedagon fuksisitsit is a traditional academic dinner party where new students become acquainted with the sitsi tradition under the guidance of toastmasters. The evening includes socializing, singing, and various programme items - the rules, customs, and surprises of sitsis are explained so that participation in later sitsis becomes familiar.

The theme is "Mist sä tuut" (Where are you from): participants dress in outfits that reflect their hometown. Themed attire is important - without it you risk being penalized 😉. The only restriction is that you must be able to sit in your outfit and it must not offend anyone.

The event takes place on Thursday 27.8. from 18:00 to 22:00 in Reaktorisali (Kyllikinkatu 1). Doors open at 17:30, so it is advisable to arrive in good time. The event is free, but tickets must be reserved via Kide.app - ticket sales begin on 20.8. at 12:00 and end on 26.8. at 15:00.

The event is OPM (bring your own drink) and ORM (bring your own food): beverages and snacks can be brought yourself, and time is allocated in the programme for ordering and eating food.
