The Year of the Hare - Theatre Performance in Muhos

Teatteri Pyhä presents a monologue performance based on Arto Paasilinna's novel "The Year of the Hare". The production is based on a dramatisation created in 2006 by Kristian Smeds, a director and playwright from Muhos. Actor Jukka Rasila brings the story to life on stage, known for his extensive career in theatre, television, and voice acting - he is familiar to audiences from programmes such as Putous, Studio Julmahuvi and Kaverille ei jätetä, as well as numerous voice roles.

The story follows journalist Vata, who encounters a young hare and on a whim makes the biggest decision of his life: he abandons his job, his relationship, and his city life to embark on a journey across Finland with his new companion. Direction and adaptation: Taneli Maljanen.
