Love Poetry Competition

Helsinki City Library is hosting a love-themed poetry competition from 14.9 to 18.10.2026. The competition is open to anyone aged 15 and over, and poems can be written in Finnish, Swedish, or English.

The competition's preliminary jury consists of library staff with expertise in poetry. Winners are selected by actress Alma Pöysti and performance poet, translator, and cultural activist Kasper Salonen. Authors of the best poems in each category receive gift vouchers from the bookstore Rosebud.
