Leonor Ruiz Dubrovin: Sense of Some Place

Leonor Ruiz Dubrovin presents new paintings at tm-gallery from 3-27 September 2026.

The exhibition draws on Dubrovin's Finnish-Spanish background and her experience of living between two cultures. This "borderland between two different traditions, customs and ways of life" is reflected directly in her art.

The latest paintings evoke dreams, where different things and beings associate freely with one another. Some works are portrait-like collage paintings in which figures combine with various objects. In larger paintings, human figures are interwoven with everyday items - vessels or fruit - and the works also feature animals, faces and other recognizable objects. The pieces blend hyperrealistic and abstract painting technique, emphasizing their free associative quality.

The exhibition is open Tue-Fri 12.00-17.00, Sat 11.00-16.00 and Sun 12.00-16.00. Admission is free.
