Okra Playground at Dubrovnik

Okra Playground performs at Dubrovnik in Helsinki. Unnumbered seating. Tickets at the door 15 €, entrance fee 4 € / person.

Electrofolk band Okra Playground combines traditional instruments with electronic soundscapes and rock - the music grows from Finnish folk heritage. British music magazine Songlines named the band's album "Itku" Europe's best album in 2023. A third album is in the works: the first single "Valheiden vanki" has already been released, and the full album will come out in spring 2027.

Line-up: Päivi Hirvonen (vocals, fiddle, bowed harp jouhikko), Maija Kauhanen (vocals, kantele), Essi Muikku (vocals, kantele), Kalle Ylitalo (electric bass), Veikko Muikku (accordion, synthesizer), Oskari Lehtonen (percussion).
