Anni Partanen: Dream Garden

Anni Partanen's Dream Garden exhibition is situated where dream and wakefulness blend: nature does not stay within bounds but transforms its shape, grows beyond its edges, and merges with the human.

In the works, human and nature are two sides of the same thing, not opposites. This combination can feel captivating, absurd, or somewhat unsettling - often all at once.

Partanen describes her approach: "In my work, research and experimentation matter more than orthodoxy. I don't want to think there's one right way to paint or use a particular material." For her, fantasy serves as a tool to examine reality from a slightly different angle.
