Kohina Film Festival

Kohina Film Festival is Finland's only short film festival dedicated exclusively to young people, and it is being held for the first time on 22 October at Vuotalo in Helsinki. The festival is organized by media students Veera Elo, Onni Tommola, and Oona-Jemina Huusko.

The festival is aimed at 13-25-year-old filmmakers who can present their work on the big screen, receive feedback from professionals, and network with other young creators. Short film submissions are open until 4 September. Films made by 13-25-year-olds from the production team can be submitted, with a maximum length of 10 minutes - the age of actors does not matter. Previously published works are also accepted if they were completed after 1 January 2025.
