A collaborative exhibition at Hippolyte Studio that combines photography, ceramics, and sound into a self-portrait installation exploring the nature of angels through the abundance and emptiness of a nostalgic glossy-photograph world.

Yrjölä and Kolmonen's angel does not fit traditional forms - it is norm-questioning, queer, and radical. The artists draw from recognizable angel aesthetics while simultaneously challenging the ideologies attached to them. The angel escapes precise definitions, shifts between states of being, and moves across alternative realities. In the exhibition, a porcelain angel encounters its flesh-and-blood counterpart.

For this artistic pair, inner angelhood means a conscious way of being in the world - experiencing it through innocence and without shame. In Yrjölä and Kolmonen's collaborative work, authorship and methods are inseparably intertwined.
