Espoo Resident Parks 50 Years - Exhibition

Espoo's resident parks celebrate their fiftieth anniversary in 2026, and to mark this milestone, an exhibition tours through Espoo's libraries. The exhibition showcases the history, activities, and shared memories of the resident parks across different decades. The displays feature photographs, stories, and other materials from parks throughout Espoo.

At Ison Omena Library, the exhibition is presented digitally from September 1-15, 2026, and focuses on the Matinkylä and Olari resident parks. Other exhibition venues and dates: Lippulaiva Library September 1-10, Sello Library children's area art wall September 1-13, Tapiola Library September 1-12, and Entresse Library Valatori art wall September 1-10.

Espoo has 16 municipal resident parks that are part of open early childhood education. They offer guided activities, play companions, and play equipment for families with children, as well as afternoon programs for schoolchildren. All activities are free and open to everyone.
