Hydrogen, Light and Power!

🫧 Evanescent / Atelier Sisu (PE, AUS)

Atelier Sisu's bubble-shaped Evanescent is a light art installation whose colours shift on the reflective surface depending on the viewing angle. The work is on display throughout the Light City event.

🌽 Hydrogen Oven (25.-27.9. 19:00-22:00)
The hydrogen oven burns pure hydrogen to cook food without carbon dioxide emissions during use - the result is juicy sausage or corn. Since hydrogen combustion produces only water vapour, the natural flavours of the ingredients shine through. Food is limited, so it's worth arriving early.

🚢 Hydrogen Sauna Boat (25.-27.9. 19:00-22:00)
The hydrogen sauna boat showcases hydrogen's potential in water transport. The vessel uses replaceable hydrogen composite cylinders, so permanent hydrogen refuelling infrastructure in the harbour is not needed. Hydrogen is used in two ways: a fuel cell system converts it to electricity for the boat's operation, and hydrogen can also be used directly to heat the sauna and grill.

💧 Hydrogen Storage and Production (25.-27.9. 19:00-22:00)
📍 Lutakonaukio & Mattilanniemi
At the event you can explore hydrogen's entire chain from production and storage to use - and try, for example, carrying a portable hydrogen tank.

🚌 It is recommended to arrive at the event on foot or by public transport, as parking is limited in the area.
