Kallio Library hosts the Children's Detective Festival on Saturday 19.9.2026 from 11.45 to 15.30, featuring author visits, workshops and competitions. The event is free and suitable for the whole family.

The day begins with an introduction to Supermarsu, followed by Siri Kolu sharing about a writer's everyday life and leading a storytelling workshop - writing or drawing are both welcome, no materials needed. Pinja Meretoja leads a monster design workshop, Helena Immonen guides a character workshop based on Purppuraisva animations, and Elina Rouhiainen and Maria Makkonen invite participants to join an agent game and comic strip workshop. At the pin workshop, you can make your own pin from 12.30 to 14.00.

The afternoon concludes with a Kahoot quiz "In the Footsteps of Fantastic Myths" hosted by YouTuber ZoneVD (at 14.45), with prizes for winners, and a ZoneVD Meet & Greet at 15.15. Throughout the day there is also book sales and juice and biscuit refreshments.
