Annantalo Art Saturday: Under the Waves

At Annantalo Art Saturday, the whole family can spend time together with art in open workshops accessible to everyone - you can drop by briefly or stay longer.

"Under the Waves" takes you into the world of kelp forests: in the swaying seaweed forest you can find a sea otter, a spotted sea eagle, a sea lion, and a sea cow. In the workshop, you create your own piece of blue sea with creatures using silk paper, glue, and cardboard, which becomes part of a shared artwork.

The workshop is part of the Spektri collaborative art project. In autumn 2026, a light artwork called Spektri is created in Annantalo's workshops and art groups, with its parts placed in the windows on the Annankatu side to glow in the colours of the spectrum. Spektri opens on 9.12. at 18:00.

Participation is free and requires no prior experience. The event is suitable for all languages, and if needed, hearing protection and other sensory aids are available for children. There is also a quiet room. The workshop is led by Annantalo's art educators.
