Father's Day at Ethnos for Children: Face to Face

On Father's Day afternoon at Malmitalo, we travel to different parts of the world through concerts and music and dance workshops.

The art workshop "Face to Face" by Javiera Mac-lean (CL) is a multicultural project where children create portraits using playful stamps - eyes, noses, mouths and other fun elements. The finished portraits are assembled into a shared exhibition celebrating diverse faces and cultures.

The World Music Centre awarded its 2026 Risteys Prize to Cultural Centre Ninho rf (NINHO). To celebrate this, the World Music Centre and NINHO are jointly organizing workshops for children in a multilingual environment. Musicians from the Global Music department of the Sibelius Academy at the University of the Arts also participate. At the hall's goodwill plaza, visitors can learn about Unicef's work and help children around the world.

The event is produced by the World Music Centre, Malmitalo, the University of the Arts Global Music department and NINHO in collaboration with Unicef Finland. The full programme for the day will be posted at etnosoi.fi.
