UIO ry goes ASTIN 2026

Helsingin Insinöörit sponsors the trip!

ASTIN is a national starter cruise for beginning and beginner-minded engineering students that sails to Turku - Stockholm and back. The 2026 cruise runs on Baltic Princess (Silja Line) 22.-23.10.2026: departure from Turku port at 19:30, return to Turku around 18:30. The cruise is K18 - a valid ID is mandatory. Cabin passes are distributed at the port by cabin, and there is a security check at the terminal before boarding (you cannot bring your own drinks).

UIO's bus departs 22.10.2026 from Myyrmäki campus (Leiritie 1) at 12:30, makes one stop along the way, and continues to Turku port. On the return day, the bus leaves the port around 19:00, stops once, and brings passengers back to Myyrmäki campus. UIO ry reserves the right to make schedule changes.

Bus transport costs members 20 €/person and non-members 24 €. The bus has organized entertainment and legendary "booli". Note that alcoholic beverages will not pass the ship's security check, so bring only as much as you can drink during the journey.
