Mandala Project Art Exhibition

A mandala is a symmetrical, circular pattern with symbolic or meditative significance - particularly in Hinduism and Buddhism, it represents the universe, balance, and inner peace.

The design of the fabric mandalas began with a group of six people under the guidance of Lidia Kivinen. The group drew mandalas and explored colour and fabric options to find suitable combinations. Lidia continued the work by creating pattern stencils based on the planned design.

The result of a summer spent cutting and sewing will be displayed on the wall of the Charlotta hall at Oulunkylä Community House.
