Heikki Kossi's Foley Workshop and Free Screening of Gaucho Gaucho

Sound designer Heikki Kossi leads an open workshop on foley and scene sound design on 20.10.2026 at Kino Regina. Kossi has built a long career in Hollywood, creating sound for hundreds of films ranging from Oscar winners to independent features.

The workshop uses the documentary Gaucho Gaucho (2024), directed by Michael Dweek and Gregory Kershaw and awarded at Sundance. The film portrays life on the Argentine pampas from the horses' perspective - set against a backdrop of global environmental crisis threatening this quiet tradition. Following the workshop, the full film will be screened.

Schedule: workshop 17.00-18.30, film screening 19.00-20.30. The film is in Spanish with subtitles in Finnish and Swedish. Age rating: suitable for all ages.

This event is part of Oodi and Kuvi's collaboration on "Sounds of Work" - special screenings exploring the significance of labour through film and literature. All screenings are free and open to everyone; advance registration is not required.
