Crazy Invalid - Art from Kurki - Exhibition

Crazy Invalid is an art exhibition by clients of Kurki Activity Centre, where creativity, humor, and personal experiences are given space to shine. The exhibition runs from 5-29.10.2026 in the display corridor on the 2nd floor of Vuotalo, with an opening event on 5.10.2026 from 18:00 to 19:00.

Kurki Activity Centre provides day and evening programmes for people who need special support, people with developmental disabilities, severe disabilities, and people on the autism spectrum. Art and culture are central to Kurki's daily life: painting, music, and various cultural activities offer opportunities for self-expression and doing things together.

The exhibition works were created in Kurki's evening group and in various day programme groups. The artists include people who have been making art their whole lives, previous exhibition participants, and first-timers. The exhibition's name came from one client's humorous idea and captures the relaxed, unprejudiced spirit present in the works - playfulness, insights, and surprises.
